bullet.gif (868 bytes) About the CMMI v1.2 Upgrade Training

The release of CMMI v1.2 in August 2006 includes improvements to all parts of the CMMI Product Suite in response to issues that have emerged in practice. To prepare CMMI users for these improvements, the SEI's CMMI product development team has created the SEI CMMI v1.2 Upgrade Training. This training gives users a convenient way to understand the changes and improvements made to the CMMI v1.2 Product Suite. This training will help users make the transition from CMMI v1.1 to v1.2 as it includes details on how the CMMI model has changed, how the SCAMPI appraisal method changes will help to improve the integrity of appraisals, and how the training courses themselves have been improved. The upgrade training materials are designed to not only provide insight into the differences between v1.1 and v1.2, but they also provide refresher materials on important CMMI concepts.

This training is available via web-based training of the SEI (see http://www.sei.cmu.edu/products/courses/p57.html).
The course fee for the on-line training is USD 175,- which must be paid via credit card.

SPI Partners are one of the SEI partners who are licensed to offer certified CMMI Version 1.2 Upgrade Trainings in a classroom setting.
The training is held by experienced CMMI instructors who will explain all changes by means of practical examples. Additionally, content of the training will be practiced in teams on the basis of hands-on examples.
All formal web-based course materials are presented during the classroom training.
